Well, here we are—January 1st, 2026—and I’m kicking off the year with a full LEGO City overview and a proper studio tour. I start with one last look at my Winter Village before it gets packed away, because Christmas is done now. That space is going to become my “seasonal display” area for mini dioramas that won’t fit in the city—Wild West, Jurassic Park island, Marvel New York… I’ve got loads of ideas. I also show the reality of the backlog under the tables (some to build, some to sell), and yeah… a few of the day-one sets I wanted are already backordered, which is really disappointing. Then we get into the city itself—started June 2024, expanded a few times, and it’s basically as big as I can make it without taking over the whole room. I talk through what’s complete (the harbour is one of the strongest areas), what’s changing (the beach is moving), and what’s next (shopping plaza upgrades, train station expansion, downtown plans, and a more “old town” section leading into modern beachfront mansions). I’m also using MILS plating to make everything sturdier—costs more parts, but it’s worth it. Finally, I show the shelves, my minifigure storage tubs, my awkward loft wall-space problems, and the messy workstation I really need to sort this year.
