In this video I unbox and review LEGO City Air Ambulance 60465 (403 pieces, age 6+, released 1st June 2025). I show you the newer-style LEGO City box that opens like a tray (honestly, it’s great for keeping bags organised if you’re tight on space), what’s inside (four numbered paper bags, a tiny sticker sheet, and some big plane parts including a wing element I hadn’t seen before), and how the build went for me (about 1 hour, with the usual leftover 1x1 bits plus a cool new 1x1 round dome element). We go through the side builds first—the snowmobile, wind sock, and little maintenance station—and I explain why I always appreciate these “small extras” for storytelling. Then it’s onto the minifigures (pilot, doctor, paramedic, and the injured skier), with a few highlights like unexpected metallic shine and leg printing on the paramedic… and yes, my usual moan: LEGO, please give us a different ski colour because I’m drowning in medium azure. Finally, I properly dig into the plane: it’s bigger than I expected, super swooshable, and packed with accessible interior sections (cockpit, seating, medical bay with removable stretcher, and storage). I do nitpick a few things—door striping not continuing, wing holes, and the lack of a proper rear ramp/door for deploying the snowmobile—but overall it’s a fun toy with loads of play and display potential, and I’m genuinely tempted to mod it into a passenger plane for my city.
