If you saw my recent backlog video, you’ll know I said I had too much LEGO and didn’t know what to do with it… and then, somehow, I ended up with even more. This one’s a very unexpected haul where a John Lewis gift card trip turned into a couple of handy LEGO City additions (including a nice little EV supercar), plus a “don’t judge me” LEGO Friends mini supermarket that’s basically a brilliant parts pack for City—printed food bits, a trolley, and loads of little details I can use to bulk out my existing grocery spots. The real chaos, though, is the Back to the Future Delorean situation. I’d pre-ordered in October, had loads of back-and-forth with LEGO customer service, thought it was cancelled… then a mate found me one in a local toy shop… and then LEGO suddenly decided the pre-orders were going through after all. So I ended up with multiple Deloreans and a Speed Champions Lightning McQueen turning up on the same day. Instead of flipping anything, my plan is to build them all and make different film versions (Part 1, hover mode, and the Part 3 variations), plus a “normal” Delorean for fun. I also unbox a backordered bargain—the Twilight Cullen House—because even if I don’t care about Twilight, that mansion build and colour scheme are gorgeous for the price I paid.
