Gaming mice are everywhere, and picking the right one can get overwhelming fast—wired, wireless, DPI, lift-off distance… all of it. In this video I unbox and test the Mad Catz M.M.O 7 Plus, and yeah, I’m calling it a straight-up transformer. The big deal here is comfort and customization: you can extend the backplate for bigger hands (like mine), adjust the thumb rest forward/back with the screw, and even swivel the thumb rest in or out depending on how you grip your mouse. I break down the specs and the real-world features: 22-button layout with 21 programmable inputs, 5 onboard profiles, shift mode, action lock, a Pixart 3395 sensor up to 26,000 DPI (I can’t do that—2,000 and I’m dizzy), and Kailh switches rated for 80 million clicks. I also walk you through the Mad Catz HUD software—button remapping, macros, DPI stages, polling rate up to 1000Hz, lift-off distance, angle adjustment, and subtle RGB on the front lights. Then I put it to the test in Battlefield 6 on mouse and keyboard (I’m not that guy). I did horrible, but the aiming felt more precise than a controller, and I still landed a few good snipes. At $149.99 it’s not cheap, but if you want maximum programmability and comfort, this one brings the bells and whistles.
