In my video “Do It Safe with DB Heroes,” I sing and dance with Cha-Cha, Boom-Boom, Lya-Lya, and Chicky to help kids learn simple safety rules they can remember fast. We repeat the fun chant “Don’t do that! It’s not safe!” and then I show the better choice: “Do like this! It’s safe!” That repetition is my favorite way to teach—kids copy, sing along, and the message sticks. We cover four big everyday safety moments: riding a bike (kids, don’t ride without your helmet), crossing the street (kids, don’t cross on the red light), hot things (kids, don’t touch anything hot), and playground slides (kids, always slide the right way).
