About This Video

This LA Koreatown vlog is basically me trying to maximize one full day in Los Angeles—weather, palm trees, and (most importantly) Korean food. After a quick power nap post-rental pick-up (the journey was exhausting but fun), Tommy and I headed straight to Master Ha, because yes… I’m embarrassed but not ashamed to say the raw marinated crab was the main reason this trip happened. I got the medium raw marinated crab, Tommy got the combo, and between the side dishes, the shrimp, the egg, and even the miso soup with crab legs, it was such a satisfying K-food moment. The highlight is always the body—mixing the rice with the crab meat until you feel like a crab (worth it). From there, we did cute cafĆ© stops (Camel Coffee on Sunset was adorable—they write your name and their signature drinks were genuinely good, even if the size felt small for the price). I also shared how wild it is seeing how wide and historic LA Koreatown feels—Korean signs everywhere, and you can tell it’s an OG immigrant hub with so many Korean-owned businesses. We ended the day at Santa Monica for sunset vibes (not my favorite SoCal beach, but I’m forever a beach gal), walked the pier, got churros because I suddenly ā€œcouldā€ eat again, and then completely crashed at the hotel.
