In this video I’m going back to the Volvo EX90—specifically the interior—because honestly, Volvo dropped the ball here. I can live with some exterior choices, but inside? The speedometer looks like a square stock template and the center screen feels like a giant Samsung tablet that got slapped on as an afterthought. The whole thing gives me DIY vibes, and that’s not what I expect from Volvo, especially when their interiors are usually all about everything feeling connected and having a proper “home.” So instead of just saying “this looks bad,” I challenge myself to fix it. I keep some EX90 DNA—like the overall dash shape and the vent design—but I redesign the layout so the screens are integrated properly. The big changes: I give the driver display an actual housing again (because it should never look like it’s just sitting behind the wheel), and I build the center display into the dashboard with a slight driver tilt so it feels intentional. I also bring back the idea that buttons still matter—especially for quick controls—because hunting through menus while driving is just not it.
