Yeah… an Android fanboy got himself an iPhone 16 Pro. In this video I unbox it, put it next to phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and I’m just being real: this is one of the most barebones unboxing experiences I’ve had, especially for a $1,200 phone. You get the phone, a cable, papers, and the SIM tool—no case, no charger, and not even a basic plastic screen protector to prevent those micro-scratches. And that matters to me because on a lot of Android phones, I’m used to getting at least some of that stuff in the box. After the unboxing, I go through my first impressions of the iPhone 16 Pro itself—build quality feels strong and sophisticated, and I like the corners, but I still don’t love the pill cutout. I also talk about the new camera button: so far it doesn’t feel intuitive, and I’d rather just use on-screen controls for zoom. Same with the action button—honestly, the old mute switch made more sense to me. I’m not very impressed yet, but the camera is what matters most to me, so the real test is coming when I see if it’s actually something to write home about.
