How to make mashed potatoes with milk [ASMR] Ingredients 2 pounds (6 medium) potatoes, peeled Sea salt 2/3 cup milk, warmed 8 tablespoons (1 stick), room temperature Ground pepper to taste (I used white pepper) Fresh parsley for garnish Cut the peeled potatoes into big chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water. Generously salt the water. Bring to a boil and cook lightly covered for 25 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain the potatoes. Warm the milk. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher (or potato ricer or hand mixer). Add the butter, a little at a time, mashing it after each addition. Now slowly add the warmed milk and mash again to incorporate. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste and give it a final mash to achieve desired creaminess.
