The Bulls did what you expect: we go into halftime with a lead on the OKC Thunder, and then the second half hits and it turns into a blowout. Chicago gets outscored 69-46 after the break, and that’s the whole story of this one. In the first half we’re shooting 55% from the field and 50% from three, then it flips hard—30% from the field and 13% from three in the second half. Against a team like OKC, with that kind of defense and perimeter pressure, there’s just no lead that’s safe. I talked through the performances that actually showed up: Tre Jones, Collin Sexton, and Isaac Okoro all getting to 20+ points, plus Matas Buzelis giving us 15 and 9. But Josh Giddey going 1-for-11 with five turnovers (and 0-for-8 from three) is a killer—if he’s not impacting the game, we’re not winning many. I also hit on the coaching/adjustment gap (Mark Daigneault out-scheming Billy Donovan as the game went on) and the rotation stuff that still makes no sense to me—like only three minutes of Lachlan Olbrich while we’re playing Patrick Williams and small-ball looks.
