During the actors/writers strike, I got weirdly obsessed with credit card points—like, research-every-card-on-the-market obsessed—because if life is unhinged, at least my travel can be free. I break down my top 3 card recs: the Bilt Mastercard (the only card that gives you points on rent), the Amex Gold (4X on dining and groceries, plus credits that basically offset the annual fee if you actually use them), and the Chase Sapphire Preferred (a fan favorite with a lower annual fee and solid dining points). I also share how I used points for a solo Amsterdam trip with thousands in value, and I explain why I personally think points beat cash back if you can pay your statement in full.
