About This Video

Hi everyone—welcome to another Char Char video. In this one I’m doing a follow-up to my Burt’s Bees product review, and I’m showing you exactly what I’ve been doing to groom Charlie’s eyes and keep them a little cleaner when tear staining and that hard buildup starts clumping in his fur. I give you a close-up so you can see what I mean: when it sits there, it not only stains, but it gets hard and honestly seems like it would be uncomfortable. My little routine is super simple: I use the Burt’s Bees dog tear stain remover (mine has chamomile), a paper towel, and a small eyebrow brush from the drug store. First I apply a good amount of the remover around the browning section to soften everything, then let it sit for a minute. After that I press off the excess with a paper towel (you’ll see the discoloration coming off), and then I very gently brush the softened chunks out—carefully, because it’s right by the eye. If you stay consistent and do it every day, I’ve noticed it helps keep the buildup from spreading and just growing and growing.
