About This Video
In this dog product review, I’m testing the Grooming Eye Wipes by Petco on Charlie, because he has a little bit of a tearing problem and we’re always trying different products to help with tear stains. I show you the package up close, what it claims to do (clean dirt and debris around the eyes and help remove tear staining), and then I open it up and try the wipes in real time. I also give you a true “before” look—his eyes get really bad if I don’t clean them daily, and if I skip a day it can start to clump.
When I use the wipe, I talk through my technique (I’ve been trying to wipe upward instead of down because someone gave me that advice), and you can actually see some of the stain coloring coming off onto the wipe. After about 30–40 seconds of wiping, I compare the side I cleaned to the side I didn’t, and the cleaned side definitely looks better—but it doesn’t completely eliminate the staining. My takeaway: these Petco grooming eye wipes seem good for daily cleaning and improving things a bit, but they didn’t fully solve Charlie’s tear stain problem, so I’m still on the search and I’ll keep you updated as we try more options.
