In this reaction, I’m back on GQ’s “10 Things I Can’t Live Without,” but this time we’re running through NBA (and WNBA) players and the fragrances they actually keep in rotation. I break down what Chet Holmgren, Dwight Howard, Sabrina Ionescu, and Bam Adebayo reach for, and I’m not gonna lie—these guys (and Sabrina) definitely brought it. The big theme is what I always preach: different scent for every occasion and season… unless you’re a signature-scent loyalist, which a couple of them clearly are. For Chet, I zoom in on Diptyque Fleur de Peau—clean skin, laundered linen vibes, chic and assertive without being loud, and totally office-friendly if you spray light. Dwight basically crowns Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait as his “heaven” scent, so I explain the difference between Extrait vs EDP and why the Extrait’s almond-rich creaminess is worth it (as long as you don’t overspray). Sabrina’s Chanel No. 5 Eau Première gets the “baby powder” callout, and I explain why it’s a brighter, more wearable take on the classic with a soft vanilla base. And Bam closes with Givenchy Trouble-Fête—fig on fig, creamy-green, a little incense and sesame—tame for a “troublemaker,” but super easy to like and still quirky.
