In this video I take you with me to Rome—my hometown—for a little travel vlog and a very minimalist illustrated travel journal session. I’m sketching on location, romanticising the everyday, and showing you a compact “essential kit” that keeps things light and simple when you’re walking around the city. The vibe is intentionally restrained: black and white, old-illustration inspired, with clean linework, hatching, and just enough shading to make the pages feel timeless. I walk you through how I sketch in different situations (standing, sitting, quick moments, longer pauses), starting with pencil and then committing with fineliner. I also share how I hatch and build shadows without overworking the page—because when you travel, speed and clarity matter. Along the way I bring you to a few of my favourite places and little rituals in Rome, plus some quotes from “Last Summer in the City” that fit the mood perfectly.
