About This Video

In this video I share 7 practical things I do when I’m stuck in an artist block (or when I can feel burnout creeping in). I’m talking specifically to artists and journalers—because when your sketchbook or travel journal starts feeling like “pressure” instead of play, you need a reset that’s simple and doable. I start with embracing imperfection (messy pages are still pages), and I show how leaning into a scrappy, imperfect junk-journal approach can get you moving again without the fear of “ruining” anything. Then I go into a few mindset and environment shifts: studying and reinterpreting the masters (not copying, but learning), changing your surroundings, and finding inspiration in nature. I also talk about rebalancing dopamine—because sometimes the creative rut isn’t about talent or ideas, it’s about being overstimulated and exhausted. To make it super actionable, I include collage as an easy entry point, plus prompts you can use right away. And yes—I made you a FREE e-book with even more tips and 250 prompts for artists and journalers, so you’ve always got something to fall back on when motivation disappears.
