In this video I’m diving into one of my favourite rabbit holes: DIY vintage ephemera for junk journals and travel journals. I show you what I actually look for when I’m thrifting and antique-hunting—old papers, letters, book pages, postcards, photos, and all those “imperfect” bits that instantly add story and texture to a spread. The goal is to build a little box of vintage materials you can keep dipping into whenever you want your pages to feel layered, lived-in, and romantic. Then I take those finds and turn them into practical, usable elements: custom PET tape image transfers (in two parts, so you can really see the process), plus quick paper clusters to create focal points and depth without overthinking it. Finally, I share my easy method to give photos and postcards a believable vintage patina—so they don’t look freshly printed, but like they’ve travelled with you for years.
