In this vlog I’m having a very normal (but very busy) Tuesday working from home in London. I’m running supervised scripts to fix some in-production issues, and because they take ages to run, it’s honestly easier to stay home so I’m not constantly interrupting them. I also talk through a very real engineering moment: two redrives went wrong, I hadn’t piped the output to a file (pain), and I didn’t have enough visibility into whether the redrive was idempotent. I had to pause, clean up what was already processed, and get confirmation from the US team before re-running anything. Since I’m working later hours to sync with the US, I use the morning to declutter my “box of chaos” — aka the tech box that proves being a tech YouTuber doesn’t mean your cables and random gadgets are organized. I sort what I’m keeping vs. selling/giving away, and I also share a few practical gear thoughts (like why I’m a mechanical keyboard girl, and a wrist rest I’m testing for mouse comfort).
