In this video I tried something I’ve wanted to do for a while: make my own keyboard case—but instead of aluminum or plastic, I built it out of dry foam. Yeah… it’s a little weird, but that’s kind of the point. I wanted to see if I could shape a super affordable material into an actual usable case, get everything aligned, and still end up with a board that sounds good. I walk through how I shaped the foam, how I checked fitment along the way, and what I paid attention to so it wouldn’t just be a flimsy block with a PCB tossed in. The goal was simple: make sure everything fits clean, then do a sound test at the end to see if the foam case actually delivers that deeper, “thockier” vibe.
