About This Video

Oi, oi you rabble—this Sunday Night Live was basically me clearing the air after Tuesday’s video kicked off a bit of daft “controversy” in the comments. I talked through the whole thing around my BGS Caster (the Glarry-based build Dave “Snack” Stevens did for me), and why I’m still sticking by what I said: to me it’s a unique, proper Budget Guitar Show kind of guitar. People tried doing the whole “that’s not original, my mate did it” routine, so I put it to the test the only way that matters—does it do the job when it’s loud, through a real amp, with a band? So I played clips from Voodoo Club rehearsal so you can hear the BGS Caster in a live band setting, and I also aired out “Satan” for the first time in a proper room with a proper amp. Minor flaws? Yeah—slightly misaligned neck and all that—but it’s a budget guitar world, and I care more about whether it delivers the tone and survives rehearsal than whether it’s “perfect.” We also had a bit of a laugh, talked bollocks, and I did a few tunes live (while trying not to get the stream nuked for copyright again). Main takeaway: ignore the nitwits, don’t send anyone grief, and judge a budget build by the sound and the gig, not the ego.
