About This Video

In this video, I’m doing my acne-safe evening skincare routine that targets hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and active breakouts—aka the holy trinity for acne-prone skin. A bunch of these are first impressions, and yes, everything I’m using is non-comedogenic (because I’m not here to gamble with my pores). I start with a new cleansing water from Dr. G. I love Dr. G as a brand, and this one surprised me—it has a slight lemony scent and it actually removes makeup really well. Quick note: it’s acne-safe, but not fungal acne-safe. Then I go in with the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel (the neutral version, not the AHA one). The texture is insanely squishy and luxurious, and my skin feels clean but not tight—exactly what I want at night. After cleansing, I use the Mediheal Madecassoside Blemish Pad like a mini sheet mask for about 5 minutes, and it leaves my skin feeling super soft and calm. For dark spots, I try a Korean pharmacy product for the first time: Aelia Cream with 20% azelaic acid (made in Italy). It’s strong, so I spot-apply only where my hyperpigmentation is stubborn. I follow with the S.NATURE (Sap Ion) Trouble Serum (still testing, but so far so good), and finish with the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream—lightweight hydration that my skin needs in dry winter weather.
