In Vlogmas Day 12, I’m taking y’all with me on a real-life Tuesday where we’re running late (like… it’s almost 12:30, girl) but we’re still showing up. I’m headed to the gym after doing my run at home, and I’m feeling that “gentle sore” in my legs—which I actually love. I know some people hate soreness, but I live for it because it lets me know I’m working the muscles right. And yes, it’s leg day… so pray for me, because I already knew it was about to be painful. I also share how I structure my reps depending on how my body feels: I typically do 5 reps with heavier weights, but if I’m really sore, I’ll switch to 10 reps with lighter weights. That’s what I had to do with arms because I’m being honest—I haven’t been consistent with arm workouts, but it’s part of the plan now, and I’m feeling it. Then we get into what I’m eating to stay consistent: lunch is an open-face turkey burger (no bread) with Trader Joe’s fries and tea, and dinner is air-fried chicken thighs with veggies—no carbs—plus a drizzle of homemade Alfredo sauce. I also talk about breaking the habit of needing something sweet after dinner, because that’s a mindset and habit thing I’m working through in real time.
