Hey, my bosses—this video is part of my confidence-over-35 series, and I’m keeping it real and practical because I’m literally headed out to run errands. One of the ways I maintain confidence is making sure I’m well put together even for the “regular” stuff. I start with my errand uniform: a black compression top (mine is from Walmart) and black tights (mine are from Target). Black on black, baby—bet on black. Then I build from there with structure, proportion, and presence so the look reads intentional, elevated, and quietly powerful. From there, I add an outer layer—my go-to business casual jacket (I’ve had it forever, and it pulls the whole look together every time). Then I elevate without doing the most: a classic Burberry scarf, my Burberry bucket hat (because grown woman status, okay), and my Louis Vuitton tortoise shell shades—my “elevations.” My whole point is this: people see you before they see you, and it’s your job to teach people how to treat you. When I look good on the outside, even on cloudy days inside, it helps me feel better—so invest in you, keep your clothes clean, lint-free, and pressed, and show up like the boss you are.
