About This Video

Day 2 of my “Beating Fallout 4 the Nintendo Way” Switch 2 challenge run kicks off with the usual chaos: I’m trying to wrangle my stream setup, the combined chat decides to die, and I’m already tempting fate by saying out loud how surprisingly stable this Bethesda port has been. And yeah—“nearly flawless for Bethesda” is still the most accurate compliment I can give. I’m running the 40 FPS mode and it’s been a genuinely nice balance of smoothness and clarity, with only the occasional physics weirdness and a single crash across a long session. In-game, I’m doing the boring-but-necessary settlement admin (Starlight Drive-In and Sanctuary basics: food, water, beds, scrap stations, beacon) and then we pivot into the Automatron content after the caravan distress call. I meet Ada, agree to help hunt down the Mechanist, and set up the Robot Workbench so I can start tinkering—because obviously I want to turn Codsworth into something more useful, once I’ve got the perks and parts to do it properly. Along the way you’ll get the usual Fallout 4 jank (floating cars dropping out of the sky, pathing nonsense), some blunt opinions about platforms and performance, and a bit of ranting about DMCA nonsense nuking VOD audio when the main theme gets detected.
