About This Video

In this stream I kick off what I’m calling “Beating Fallout 4 the Nintendo way” on Switch 2 — battery powered, waggle-adjacent, and generally making choices that feel like Nintendo would either approve of… or DMCA out of spite. The core rule is simple: energy weapons only. If it doesn’t run on cells or some kind of battery, I’m not using it (and no, a flamethrower doesn’t count, because fuel isn’t a battery, mate). The only cheeky exception is anything that feels like a Joy-Con “waggle” melee vibe — cutting/tearing/chewing, not bonking. I also chat performance, because obviously. Switch 2 gives you 30/40/60 FPS modes with resolution dropping as you go up, and I ended up choosing 40 FPS for the extra clarity — streamed in a 60 container, so you might see a bit of pacing weirdness on YouTube even though it’s smooth on my 120 Hz display. From there it’s classic Fallout chaos: I pre-scrapped Sanctuary (tedious as hell), introduced my beautiful abomination “Mario Watts,” ran the early Concord stuff just far enough to snag the laser musket, and then beelined to the Cambridge Police Station to farm early energy ammo with Danse. No motion controls, no mouse mode, Bethesda bugs turning up on schedule, and me leaning on VATS because thumbsticks aren’t my religion.
