Today I’m doing a full face Get Ready With Me using good old Wet n Wild — a drugstore favorite of mine for years, and I know it’s a favorite for many of you too. I start the way I always do: skincare is already done (cleansed, serums, moisturizer), then I go in with Wet n Wild Mega Last Eyeshadow Primer and try the PhotoFocus Matte Face Primer for the first time. It has a thin, white consistency, and on my normal-to-dry, mature skin it felt smooth, not sticky or tacky — and yes, I focus primer around my mouth and T-zone because that’s where I need the most help. For base, I tried mixing the PhotoFocus Stick Foundation with the PhotoFocus Liquid Foundation. The stick looked thick and started going a little cakey and dry on me, and I truly think mine was just old, so I backtracked and leaned on the liquid PhotoFocus because I can count on it. I set lightly with the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder (the big tub — about five bucks and you just can’t beat it). For eyes, I use the Nude Awakening 10-pan palette and keep it neutral and lifted for hooded eyes, then I pop on my little half lashes and finish everything off with blush, concealer, contour/highlight, and a lip combo (Wet n Wild underneath, but I did top it with a rusty Revlon to get the tone I wanted).
