The “Why” Behind the Noise The film revolves around the “One to One” concert John and Yoko headlined at Madison Square Garden on August 30, 1972. The show was a benefit for the Willowbrook State School, a nightmare of neglect for kids with disabilities. John and Yoko had seen a gut-wrenching Geraldo Rivera report about it, and basically said, “We’re doing a show, and we’re fixing this.” The concert was born from that anger, and it’s the only full-length solo concert John ever did after the Beatles. It wasn’t a polished corporate tour; it was a raw, loud, benefit-driven middle finger to the system. 🖕 Sean Lennon was heavily involved as an Executive Producer and personally oversaw the audio mastering and remixing.
