In this video I’m talking about my ultimate “one-stop shop” cleanser: good old Castile soap—specifically Dr. Bronner’s Hemp Peppermint. I’ve been loving it for the past couple of years, and I wanted to share all the different ways I use it (head to toe), plus my newest discovery: using it as a shampoo. The ingredients are simple, no frills, and the peppermint is strong—in the best way—because it’s super soothing for my skin. Before we get into hair, I quickly touch on how I use it as a deep-clean face wash every blue moon (not daily), as a body wash that actually cuts through deodorant buildup, and my favorite use: as a feminine cleansing wash—especially during my period when everything feels extra sensitive and I want that cooling, calming relief. Then I hop in the shower and show you how it performs on my thick curls: it lathers like crazy, spreads easily, gets right to my scalp, and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean but not dried out. I don’t use it every wash day because it’s very cleansing, but about once a month is a sweet spot—especially when I’m prepping for henna and need my hair super clean.
