My boyfriend surprised me with the Trader Joe’s 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar, and since it was already December 18th (aka the last weekend before Christmas), I decided to spoil the whole thing at once. I didn’t open each little box on camera because I still wanted you to have that surprise if you grab one, but I did pull out all the goodies and walked through what’s inside so you know if it’s worth it as a quick stocking stuffer. Inside, there’s a mix of skincare, body care, and a couple hair/lip items—like a rice polish face cleansing powder (new to me), lip butters/balms in warm vanilla and rainbow sherbet, a coconut coffee body scrub, and a few moisturizers. I also got a warm vanilla leave-in conditioner that I’d personally save for when I straighten my hair because it has silicone (hello, heat protection). My favorites from a “fun to try” standpoint were the subtle vanilla orchid body mist, the SPF 40 illuminating tinted facial sunscreen (love seeing sunscreen included!), and the rose glow facial oil with shimmer—pretty, but I’d probably skip using that one on my actual face. Oh—and I almost forgot the lavender eucalyptus bath fizzer… plus my cat was mad at me, so there’s that too.
