✨FOR THE QUIET SECTION AT 22:06 - I thought YT editor had a voiceover option that I could add later but it doesn’t for long form 😩 I’m showing that I rinsed the henna until the water ran clear, then used that Not Your Mother’s Matcha Green Tea and Wild Apple Blossom condish to get all the rest of the henna out and remoisturize. Blue tie-dye shirt clip was my wet hair right after I rinsed it all out and before I styled in 6 big twists with that Honey Mustard Curl Cream. *Okay* now I feel better about that quiet clip lol šŸ˜‚ Lesson for next time, find my gloves the night before lol. About This Video

Hey y’all—after four long months, I finally hennad my hair again, and… whew. This was genuinely one of the most chaotic henna applications I’ve ever done. I had a ton of new gray growth (like, the most I’ve seen in a while), and I used my tried-and-true Curly Proverbs pure henna. I walk you through how I mix it (just henna + very hot water), how long I let it sit to develop (I aim for 3–7 hours), and then the part where everything went left—because I couldn’t find my gloves and my mix ended up way runnier than usual. I still applied it section-by-section, focusing hard on my roots where the grays are, but between the plastic bag ā€œgloves,ā€ the mess, and me running out of henna at the end, it was a full series of unfortunate events. I also talk about being extra gentle because henna isn’t a conditioning product, and my hair is still recovering from past tension damage (RevAir user error, 2024… we don’t need to relive it). Even with all the mishaps, the color turned out super cute—subtle indoors, but in the sun you can catch those auburn/red pops, especially on the white strands. Moral of the story: find your gloves the night before, and don’t let one messy wash day discourage you.
