In this video I’m condensing my full seven-hour tiny mini twist process into under three minutes, because yes… it really takes me that long. I do this protective style on dry hair (not soaking wet), and I start by spritzing with two different moisture sprays to get things going. One of them smells like apple cider vinegar, so I use the second one to help with the scent—plus both sprays have benefits for my hair and scalp. From there it’s all about tiny sections and a fall-themed product lineup: a pumpkin leave-in to help smooth (which I need because my hair is naturally very frizzy), Wet Line Extreme Gel because it’s super thick, and then a mix of pumpkin hair oil (sadly discontinued) plus Enchanted Hair Oil from The Main Crush for extra shine and that amazing smell. My biggest key for mini twists is smoothing, smoothing, and smoothing some more. That smoothing method helps lay my cuticle, cut down frizz, boost shine, and even helps me remove shed hairs so my hair stays fully detangled while I install. I also reinforce each twist by adding a bit more gel and twisting the whole twist again so it doesn’t loosen—then I wear them about three weeks.
