It’s been a few years since I updated my eyeglasses, so I did a Warby Parker try-on with a bunch of frames and I need your help picking which ones to keep. I walk through each pair, how they look in person versus online, and what stood out (or didn’t). One big theme: a lot of the colors looked way more vibrant on the website, but showed up more subtle in real life—especially the tortoise and striped options. I start with Putnam in Striped Teak, which ended up being one of my favorites even though the warm brown + honey streak contrast wasn’t as bold as I expected. The Haze in Mosquite Tortoise is the standout for me—this color combo is seriously my comfort zone (I’ve been a tortoise girl since second grade), and I love the gold mixed into the darker tortoise. Some pairs were comfy but just didn’t have that “wow” factor for me (like the Pro in Striped Ocean Front and Rosie in Terzo Tortoise), and a couple ran small since I usually need wide frames (Esme in Bellflower Crystal and Gillian in Confetti Tortoise). I wrap it up with Winston, a bolder, thicker frame than I normally go for—but I really liked the amber contrast.
