In this video, I’m drawing Emma Frost (aka the White Queen) in my sketchbook, and I’m taking you through my full art process—from the first sketch all the way to the final reveal. This one is a fun little cross-channel moment because the pose and vibe were inspired by the figure reviews I do over on my collectibles channel, so if you’re into Marvel Legends and character design talk, you’ll catch those little influences in how I build the pose and silhouette. I start with simple shapes to lock in perspective and anatomy, because that’s the easiest way to keep a character balanced before you commit to details. After that, I ink the line art and get into the real challenge: coloring a WHITE uniform. I’m using the Tombow ABT PRO grayscale alcohol marker set to create the illusion of clean, bright white fabric—without making it look flat or dirty. I talk through where I place shadows, how I let the paper do the heavy lifting for highlights, and how I use greys to suggest folds and structure. And yes, I also spotlight my go-to bamboo desktop easel, because posture matters. Having my sketchbook at a better angle helps me draw longer, more comfortably, and honestly it improves my control when I’m inking and blending markers.
