How Wool Is Made: From Sheep to Sweater Have you ever wondered how wool becomes a sweater? In this video, we're following the journey of wool from sheep to sweater, exploring every step of the wool processing journey. From raw merino fleece and sheep shearing to scouring, carding, spinning, natural dyeing, and finally turning yarn into fabric, you'll see how one of the world's oldest textile fibers is transformed into something we wear every day. To make things even more interesting, I decided to try parts of the process myself using raw fleece from a German Merino sheep. Together we'll compare traditional hand processing methods with modern industrial wool production and discover what makes wool such a remarkable natural fiber. Whether you're interested in knitting, spinning, weaving, crochet, natural dyeing, slow fashion, sustainable textiles, or simply curious about where your clothes come from, I hope you'll enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at the journey of wool. I hope you enjoy!
