In this video, I show you what to do when AirDrop is not detecting nearby iPhones and it keeps stuck on searching. I start with the basics that actually matter in real life: make sure your network connection is stable (Wi‑Fi or cellular), then switch between them if needed. I also recommend enabling and disabling Airplane Mode a few times (up to 4–5) to quickly refresh your network settings, because a lot of AirDrop discovery problems are just a handshake glitch. Next, I walk you through the key settings that can block discoverability. I check that there’s no device management/PIN-related connection causing conflicts, and I make sure iOS is fully updated with no pending software update. Then I go into Privacy & Security → Location Services, turn Location Services ON, and also enable Significant Locations inside System Services. After that, I set AirDrop to “Everyone for 10 Minutes” instead of “Contacts Only,” because contacts syncing can fail and stop your iPhone from showing up. If none of that fixes it, I do the stronger resets: Reset Network Settings (it clears corrupted network cache without deleting your data) and then a force restart to remove minor glitches.
