About This Video

Just because something is trending doesn’t mean you need to run out and buy it—and in 2026, I’m not dressing for social media algorithms. I’m dressing for everyday life. In this video I’m sharing my hot takes on fashion trends I’m personally skipping, with the lens of a 30-something mom who wants real-life outfits that feel polished, feminine, and wearable. I talk through why certain “it” items feel too trend-heavy to be worth it (especially when I’m spending real money), and why I’d rather choose pieces that flatter my proportions and actually fit my lifestyle. On the fashion side, I’m passing on the Chanel 25 bag because it doesn’t feel timeless to me, plus I think it’ll look dated fast. I’m also skipping capri pants (I don’t love where they cut the leg), animal print (more statement than neutral for me), the Y2K/2016 revival (low-rise jeans are a hard no), jelly shoes, oversized/baggy silhouettes that make me feel frumpy, and the hype around overly labeled, expensive “drop” sweatshirts. On the beauty side, I’m ready to see faux freckles go, along with “blush blindness” (especially bright pink across the face) and overdone filler. My takeaway: less is more—enhance your natural features, wear what builds your confidence, and let trends be optional.
