Join me for an early morning drive up one of Arizona’s most scenic roads: Highway 89A through Oak Creek Canyon. We are leaving the red rocks of Uptown Sedona and heading north into the lush Coconino National Forest. This 10-mile stretch is famous for its towering canyon walls, switchbacks, and dramatic change in scenery. We’ll cruise past the iconic Midgley Bridge, navigate the curves near Slide Rock State Park, and finish up at the Call of the Canyon day-use area—the gateway to the West Fork trail.
