This video is all about one of those upgrades that makes you ask, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?” I’m taking my 2013 Toyota Tacoma (I’ve owned it since brand new—101,000 miles, Arizona sun fade and all) and giving it the comfort it’s always needed for Montana winters: heated seats and better coverage. I walk through installing a universal, plug-and-play seat heater kit (mostly Amazon-sourced) and pairing it with semi-custom EKR leather seat covers so it looks and feels way more OEM than the generic universal cover options. I show you how I laid out the heating elements inside the covers (lumbar-to-midback on the backrest, and as close to the front edge as possible on the bottom so the backs of your legs stay warm), then how I routed and managed wiring through the center console. We tap an ACC fuse for switch power/illumination, run proper power and ground, and I explain the harness layout so you don’t mix up left/right or rip wires when the seat slides. End result: clean switch fitment that’s almost factory, heaters that start warming up in about three minutes, and leather that’s tight, durable, and honestly way better than I expected.
