What’s up guys—this video is the full flatbed conversion on my brand new 4th gen (2024) Toyota Tacoma, done at Next Jump Outfitters in Tacoma, Washington. I’m walking you through how we ditched the factory bed and went to a budget-friendly, all-aluminum flatbed that completely changes the capability and utility of the truck. This isn’t just “pull a few bolts and lift it off”—on a brand new platform it’s more of a surgical dissection, and watching these guys work through it was honestly impressive. We break down the real steps that matter: labeling and identifying every inch of the wiring harness before disconnecting anything, documenting the fueling system and fittings, and then setting the aluminum bed on a steel framework to get the height and rake perfect. The biggest headaches are the electrical and fueling systems, and that’s where having pros matters—this was a 22-hour build with a lot of R&D because it was Next Jump’s first 4G Tacoma flatbed. The end result looks absolutely sick, and it sets me up for the next phase—rack, RTT, accessories, and eventually figuring out a rear bumper solution since some off-the-shelf options won’t fit with how the bed protrudes.
