I point out how Jehoshaphat had the “inkling” that something was off, but kept moving forward anyway, and how that’s relatable when emotions, people-pleasing, or the desire for companionship and success push us into compromise. Then I go deeper into 2 Chronicles 20, where fear shows up—but the key is what happens next: “he set himself to seek the Lord,” called a national fast, and led Judah into prayer. I highlight the order of his prayer—recognizing God’s sovereignty, remembering past victories, claiming promises, and then surrendering fully: “we have no might… neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.” When they praised, God set ambushments, and the enemy destroyed itself. The takeaway is simple and end-time practical: keep a constant pipeline of prayer, pray with your Bible open, and let praise and surrender position you to “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”
