In this study (Mark of the Beast series #14), I’m dealing with the role of the false prophet and why this subject is crucial if we’re trying to make sense of what’s happening in the world right now. I walk straight through the Bible texts that warn us about false prophets and deception (Matthew 7, Matthew 24, 1 John 4), and then I connect that to Revelation’s end-time picture: the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet—this counterfeit trinity working together to deceive the whole world. The key theme is deception: miracles, signs, and a message that sounds “religious” and “righteous,” but leads people toward worship of the beast and ultimately the mark of the beast. Then I go into Revelation 13 and show how the United States (the earth beast) “speaks as a dragon,” exercises worldwide influence, and causes worship of the first beast (the papacy). I explain that the false prophet’s job is to win hearts—paving the way for church and state union (the image of the beast), legislation, enforcement, and eventually a death decree. Finally, I expose the Third Temple deception tied to futurism—Jesuit counter-reformation misinterpretations that shift attention away from Rome and onto a future one-man antichrist and a rebuilt temple narrative. My takeaway is simple: test every spirit, try every message by the Word of God, and don’t let end-time delusions prepare you to receive the mark of the beast.
