The look of a project can change drastically based on the choices made during pre-production. Today, I’d like to share my thought process regarding lens selection. I regularly use three lens sets: the Sony G Master lenses, a cine-modded set of vintage Leica R lenses, and the Atlas Mercury 1.5x anamorphic lenses. Each set provides a unique look and serves a specific purpose. You'll gain a clearer understanding of their differences after watching this video. My goal is to empower you to make well-informed decisions about lens choices in your next pre-production planning meeting and to help create the vibe your client is envisioning. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.
