In this 7AM Diaries vlog, I’m taking you through a luteal phase self-care day—because this week my inner thoughts were loud, and I know how overwhelming everyday tasks can feel one week before my period. When I’m in this phase, I try to keep stress to a minimum (for me that means fewer face-to-face meetings, avoiding confrontational conversations, and skipping heavy physical labour) and choosing “mindful productivity” over hustle. I start with a soothing coffee (the crema… obsessed), a light bite so I don’t get dizzy, and a gentle indoor cycle because it’s rainy out. After a calming shower, I keep skincare simple: face wash, a light moisturiser, hydrating toner, and a lightweight sunscreen—easy, tidy, and still makes me feel put together. I also chat about working in the makeup industry and how I’ve shifted from “full face or nothing” to just a pop of colour that helps me feel like I can tackle the day. Later, I reset my mind with a little reading (Sarah Knight is such a soothing comfort read for social anxiety and overthinking), make an easy lunch (carrot & potato soup + scrambled egg on toast), and then we do a quiet Aldi grocery run after dinner.
