UPDATE: Alright, now it’s out - the video sequences were made with Midjourney Video V8.1. And honestly, the results were better than I expected. In this specific case, they clearly worked better for me than what I got from the other platforms. Sure, Midjourney still has its downsides. The low resolution is not exactly a dream, and the look can feel a bit too plastic here and there. But the motion and the prompt adherence were surprisingly strong - and for this music video, honestly, pretty inspiring. So yes, give it a try. You don’t always have to jump straight to Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Wan 2.7, Veo 3.X or whatever comes next, just because you want to turn a cool idea into something cinematic. The nice thing about Midjourney is that you can create really strong images directly inside the platform - and then extend your videos with the Expand feature up to 20.5 seconds. --------------------------------- How far can you control groups of people with video AI? Late one night, somewhere around four in the morning, I saw a music video on LinkedIn that stuck in my head. The idea was simple: one person in a white shirt stays almost still, while a whole group moves around him. Clean, strange, controlled - and exactly the kind of setup that makes video AI sweat. So I rebuilt the scene from memory and turned it into a mass motion challenge. One central figure has to stay readable, while dozens of people around him move as separate individuals without merging, smearing, drifting, or turning into visual soup. In this video, I show the final result No Command and compare it with outputs from other video AI platforms that everyone is talking about right now. Creating this music video was a fascinating challenge. Alongside ChatGPT, Google Flow with Nano Banana Pro, Suno was also part of the workflow.
