Morning everyone—this one was a bit different for me. In this video I headed over to the NAEC in Stoneleigh (near Coventry/Birmingham) for AQUAH 2025, which is the UK’s largest aquatic event, and it was my first ever proper aquatic show. I travelled down with Adam 7 Fish Tanks and Hooked Aquatics, and the place was absolutely buzzing—loads going on, loads of people to chat to, and honestly it was difficult to get as much content as I wanted because it was so busy. I spent time watching the aquascaping workshops, first with MJ Aquascaping (assisted by Jord Scaper) and then George Farmer. What I really liked was how much detail they went into, plus the audience participation—proper useful if you’re learning. MJ’s scape in particular was a great example of something beginners could replicate, even in a deeper tank. I also had a good walk around the stalls: plenty of independent retailers, dry goods (tanks, filters, heaters), hardscape, and special discounts all over the place. I picked up some wood myself for a future scape. Overall, I felt this year had more freshwater than last year (which I’d heard was more marine heavy), and I’d love to see them push that even further—freshwater is where most people start.
