In this video I’m calling out something I believe a lot of folks feel in their gut but don’t always put into words: you are being played. Both parties are playing us, and it’s all by design. I go back to George Washington’s warning about the “baneful effects of the spirit of party,” and how political parties can become engines used by “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men” to subvert the power of the people. That wasn’t a cute history quote—look around. It’s exactly what we’re living in. I break down how the fear machine works: Republicans say the Democrats will destroy the country, Democrats say the Republicans will destroy the country, and the public gets herded into “lesser of two evils” voting every single time. They’ve trained people to think in binary—red or blue—and if you criticize one side, you must “want the other one to win.” That’s the trap. The part they don’t want you to realize is they control the menu: who gets on the debate stage, who gets coverage, and who gets blacklisted when a third-party or independent starts gaining traction. My takeaway is simple: stop playing their game, stop fighting your neighbor, and start questioning the system that stays in power while our rights get chipped away and the debt gets dumped on our grandkids.
