In this video I’m talking about what’s now been confirmed: the president is deploying ICE into airports nationwide, and they’ll remain there “for as long as it takes” until DHS is reopened and TSA is fully funded. Tom Homan says ICE may check identification before screening areas, and starting today agents are surging into at least 14 airports—especially the ones with the worst staffing shortages and the longest security lines. The goal, as explained, is for ICE to act as a force multiplier for TSA by doing non-screening tasks like crowd control and guarding entrances/exits so TSA can focus on actual screening. I also read the president’s statements where he blames “radical left Democrats” for withholding funding during the shutdown and says ICE will do security “like no one has ever seen,” including arrests of illegal immigrants. We don’t have a public list of the 14 airports yet, but I’m taking a wild guess it’ll be major hubs like LAX, O’Hare, Atlanta, and big Florida and New York airports. My bigger takeaway is this: roughly 260,000 federal employees are going without paychecks, and it’s got awful. If federal workers aren’t getting paid, then politicians shouldn’t be getting paid either—because what about everybody else’s mortgage, not just theirs?
