In this video I’m keeping cable management simple and budget-friendly—because that’s what actually sticks. I walk through the basic goals I set before I touch anything: reduce visual clutter, make it easy to service later, and avoid turning the underside of the desk into a permanent zip-tie museum. The whole point is to get to a clean, practical setup that makes sense for normal budgets, not a “perfect” setup that’s a pain to live with. I show the approach I like for under-desk routing: using under-desk channels/trays to give cables a home, consolidating everything down to a single cord leaving the desk when possible, and using a basic cable management kit for the little fixes (ties, clips, sleeves) that make it look intentional. I also talk through the research mindset—planning where power lives, where slack needs to be, and how to keep things accessible. At the end you get a clear before/after and my final thoughts on why these principles work even if your desk setup changes later.
