The kind of year where you’re constantly sending mates voice notes saying “you need to go here” and struggling to remember the last bad meal you had. Putting this top 10 together was genuinely hard. Not because of hype or trends, but because so many restaurants just delivered, again and again. Great cooking, proper atmosphere, busy rooms, chefs and teams who clearly care, and food that sticks with you long after you’ve left. This list is made up of places that gave me standout meals this year. The ones I still think about, recommend without hesitation, and would happily go back to tomorrow. Some are doing clever things, some are doing simple things really well, but all of them made 2025 such a memorable year to eat out.
