THE ULTIMATE Philadelphia Food Tour | Best Cheesesteaks, Pizza & the Michelin Guide Is Philadelphia the greatest food city in America? After this trip, I think the answer might be yes. In this video I take on the ultimate Philly food tour, hitting the spots locals swear by AND the ones that just got Michelin's stamp of approval. We start at Angelo's Pizzeria on South 9th Street, one of only THREE cheesesteak shops in Philadelphia to earn a Michelin Bib Gourmand award, where I try both their legendary cheesesteak AND their pizza. Then it's next door to Sarcone's Bakery, the legendary South Philly institution, for a classic tomato slice fresh from the oven. From there I head to Pat's King of Steaks, the original Philly cheesesteak spot open since 1930, to try the sandwich that started it all. No Philly food tour is complete without it. Next stop: Reading Terminal Market, one of America's oldest and best public markets. I work my way through the stalls and make sure to hit DiNic's Roast Pork, a James Beard Award-winning sandwich that gives the cheesesteak a serious run for its money. We finish at Del Rossi's Cheesesteak & Pizza Co., the second Michelin Bib Gourmand spot of the day. Two Michelin-recognised cheesesteaks in one video. INSANE.
